Location: The Deciduous Forest is located in the eastern half is of North America, Canada, Europe, parts of Russia, China, and Japan.
Climate: The average temperature 50 degrees F
Average Rainfall: about 30-60 inches a year
As seasons change, so do the trees. If your in spring or summer with the warmer temps, then you will have more green trees. If you were to be in the fall, you would have more different color trees because the sun energy isn't as strong and the trees are hibernating which means that they wont make their own food any more which leads to the color that they are.
Animals:
Tawny Owl~ The Tawny Owl is nocturnal. Their nests are put in tree holes where it protects its eggs. They hunt mainly rodents.
Mountain Lion~ The mountain lion is incapable of roaring. Their feet are used to jump great heights. Their long tails are used to balance themselves on their jumps and steep edges.
Bobcat~ They have sharp claws and teeth. The bobcat's fur changes its fur with the seasons. The bobcat is common in North America.
Black Bear~ Black Bears have a keen sense of smell. They have strong curved claws for for climbing trees and ripping logs. They have strength for turning over rocks and logs to get colonal insects.
Beaver~ They can eat under water. They can have oxygen conservation. They have a waterproof coat.
Chipmunk~ They are 5-6 inches long. They weigh about 3 ounces. They make a chattering noise when they are upset.
